Felixstowe & Walton United F.C.

Club History

Felixstowe & Walton United F.C. returned to the Premier Division of the Ridgeons Eastern Counties League for season 2006/07 after Manager Steve Potts brought together a young and motivated team achieving runners-up spot and promotion in his first season at the Club.
Following an absence of four years the Seasiders consolidated their place in the Premier Division finishing in thirteenth place and last season built on this achievement to end the season eighth in the table.

The Reserve Team, having won the Ridgeons Reserve League Championship in the first season of the competition continued to develop and in season 2007/08 won the inaugural Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup.

Felixstowe & Walton United F.C. was formed in July 2000 when Felixstowe Town and Walton United joined forces.
Felixstowe Town was formed in 1890 and Walton United shortly after in 1895.
After the Second World War the two clubs merged to form Felixstowe United before reverting back to their separate identities in 1952.

Until the year 2000 they had gone their separate ways enjoying various levels of success down the years.
Season 2000-01 saw Felixstowe & Walton United retain Premiership status and the Reserves promoted to the Premier division of the Essex and Suffolk Border League.
Despite avoiding relegation, all was not well and the threat of relegation became a reality with the club playing football in Division One of the Eastern Counties League for the first time ever in season 2002-03.

Awarded Community Club status by the F.A. over 250 boys and girls play in the Youth section which has teams in all age groups from Under 6 to Under 18.

Felixstowe & Walton United continue to look forward with optimism and enthusiasm with further on and off the field development in progress.
